I have been in the business of real estate for 20 years. My varied involvements in both commercial and residential real estate from property management, Association management, green development and sustainable living to residential and land sales, have given me a thorough background to professionally assist my clients. I took a ten year hiatus from real estate and owned a bookstore/cafe in Sun Valley, Idaho (Richard Dreyfuss, who had always wanted to hang out in his own bookstore, joined me as a partner), was general manager of Borders Book Store in San Francisco and moved to Santa Fe in 1998 to open the Borders Book Store in the Sanbusco/Railyard District. “The Girls”, my three very wonderful daughters who have all migrated back to California (San Francisco to LA), keep me current, grounded and “cutting edge”. Their “brother” Ketchum, a Welsh Corgi, helps me hold down the fort in Santa Fe.
After completing the opening of Borders and having acquired my California Sales license, my New Mexico Qualifying Broker’s license and Certificate of Property Management along the way, I eagerly returned to the business I enjoy and know so well. In 1999, I returned to the management of residential properties and Associations and in 2004 became a full fledged Realtor, now with Santa Fe Realty Partners. SFRP suggested I revive my Property Management company and so St. Clair Properties was born.
I remarried my former husband, Paul Weinberger, and father of “the girls”, Dad, July 2, 2006 after a 15 year hiatus. Life is good. Suzy and her support group | |
I
came
to Santa
Fe, not
in a
covered
wagon,
but in
a VW
Bug.
It was
the summer
of 1973.
My own
little
Manifest
Destiny.
My Bug
broke
down
on Cerrillos
Rd and
I never
had the
heart
or desire
to leave.
I had
found
my home.
For
the
past
20 years
I have
been
a bookseller,
bookperson,
bookstore
owner
and manager,
booklover,
book
reader,
bookworm-
you
get
the idea.
My husband,
Bob
Maurice,
and I
opened
Palace
Ave Books
and loved
all
of our
12 years
there.
When
we closed
our doors,
Borders
Books
was opening
theirs…and
that’s
when
I met
Suzy.
Suzy
hired
me
as a
manager
and
I worked
for
Borders
Books
for
7 years.
My
passion
for Santa
Fe is
reflected
in most
things
I do
or love.
I know
the town
I live
in
and
am excited
to be
working
in
a field
that
fits
my talent
for
customer
service
and
knowledge
of everything
Santa
Fe.

“Besides
being a great person, and a treat to be with,
there are two things you should know about
Suzy: She’ll find you your dream home
and be your best friend forever.”
